Norfolk Provincial Almoner

It is through the office of Almoner that Freemasonry provides a channel through which it can bring relief to members and dependents who are suffering some form of distress.

The Almoner is the Lodge Welfare Officer and provides a focal point through which the Brethren can bring assistance to those in need. He will contact those he suspects are in need of support and assistance; often following leads from his Brothers in the Lodge. Where assistance is needed he will seek to provide whatever is required; where necessary drawing upon the skills of his fellow Almoners, Brothers, Masonic Charities and any other non Masonic organizations which may be able to assist.
